RSS’ Attack on Sikh History: SGPC Handovers Books to Scholars for Thorough Inspection

AMRITSAR SAHIB—Going ahead to torpedo RSS’ attack on Sikh history, the SGPC has sent the books published by RSS affiliated publisher Bharti Prakashan to the scholars of Sikh History Research Board for thorough inspection. Notably, the Bharti Prakashan had published three books namely ‘Guru Gobind Singh’, ‘Guru Teg Bahadur’ and ‘Guru Puttar Fateh Singh Zorawar Singh’ in which the historic facts of Sikh history were hugely distorted to prove Sikhism as a part of Hinduism.

Sharing the development with media, SGPC’s additional secretary S. Diljeet Singh Bedi informed that the scholars of Sikh History Research Board have been directed to submit a detailed report within a week about distortion of Sikh history in the trio books published by Bharti Prakashan.
It may be recalled here that the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal had earlier written letters to the Union Human Resource Development Minister Sri Prakash Javadekar and Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Sri Devendra Fadnavis seeking action against this RSS affiliated publishing authority.
Meanwhile, neither Indian government nor Maharashtra’s state government has taken any against the publishing authorities of these controversial books.
