Simranjit Singh Mann Exposes Anti-Sikh Approach of Indian Judiciary

20 Sep 2018 08:10 AM PDTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—Exposing the anti-Sikh approach of Indian judiciary on September 19, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president S. Simranjit Singh Mann has revealed that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) was given permission to hold Faridkot rally by the same judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court who had upheld the ban imposed by the then SAD-BJP led Punjab government on Sarbat Khalsa in November-2016.
It is notable here that under similar circumstances the Congress led Punjab government had imposed ban on the Faridkot rally of SAD (Badal) but the latter had succeeded in getting the nod from Punjab & Haryana High Court bench headed by Justice R.K Jain on September 15 for holding its rally at Faridkot on September 16.
Accusing the Justice R.K Jain of adopting double standards, S. Simranjit Singh Mann said that Justice R.K Jain had upheld the ban imposed by the then SAD-BJP led Punjab government on Sarbat Khalsa-2016 while entertaining the petition moved by his party’s legal counsel Advocate Ranjan Lakhanpal but now he has lifted ban on the rally of SAD (Badal).
Exposing Justice R.K Jain’s biased behavior towards SAD (Amritsar), S. Mann said that Justice Jain has violated the Article 14 of the Indian Constitution by addressing two opposite verdicts in two cases with similar factual situation.
