CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Majha based rebel Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Ratan Singh Ajnala and Sewa Singh Sekhwan floated a new party named Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) on December 16. Notably, the trio leaders were ousted from the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) for raising a banner of revolt against the party president Sukhbir Badal.

After offering prayers before the supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib for the constitution of new SAD (Taksali), the supporters of trio leaders elected Ranjit Singh Brahmpura as the party president by enchanting Sikh ovation. Brahmpura’s name for the presidency of new party was nominated by Sewa Singh Sekhwan and was endorsed by Rattan Singh Ajnala and former Akali legislator Ujagar Badali.
Several Resolutions were passed on this occasion including the one seeking strict punishment to the Badal clan for facilitating an unasked pardon to the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. In another resolution, the new party strongly criticized the sacrilege incidents and the Police cops responsible for opening firing on the peaceful protesting Sikhs at Kotkapura and Behbal Klan.
Interacting media, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said that the new Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) will be a secular party and will fight for the rights of farmers, laborers and employees. He further said that they will impose the principles adopted by the SAD veterans while constituting the party in 1920.
Taking on the Badal clan for misusing the party for their vested interests, Brahmpura said that the Badal clan committed a lot of mistakes during the past time so they have to get detached from the Badal clan for the sake of Sikh cause. “We will complete organizational structure of the new party by April 16 of next year and will approach the Election Commission seeking validation” said Jathedar Brahmpura while announcing to contest the SGPC elections.
Meanwhile, Tarn Taran based former Akali leader Iqbal Singh Sandhu has torpedoed the Brahmpura’s claim of support from Sikh masses. He has said that the trio leaders misrepresented the Sikh devotees as their supporters by intentionally choosing a day when the inflow of Sikh devotees to Sri Harmandir Sahib remains higher i.e. Sunday as well as Sangrand.

Comment:-  The whole politics in Punjab is roaming around only one point that "AAP" should not come to power" otherwise no culprit will be spared, surely it will destroy Punjab as well as Sikhs.
