AMRITSAR SAHIB (April 17, 2015)—The President of the Sikh Youth Front, Dr. Sharnjit Singh Rataul has claimed that the attack on Bhai Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi was pre-planned. He stated that the biased government of Punjab performed this brutal act with intention to divert the attention of the Sikh community.
Dr. Sharnjit Singh Rataul said that he paid a visit to Ravinder Jeet Singh in Ludhiana Jail, where he told him that ASI Richard Maseeh was appointed under a special conspiracy. Bhai Gogi explained to him that the intention of the Government was to instigate the Sikh Youth by this act, so that the peaceful struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa could be given a violent touch.
Dr. Rataul informed Sikh24 that Bhai Ravinder Jeet Singh was suffering from severe pain in his shoulders and neck, but the government is not availing him medical treatment.
It is noteworthy that Bhai Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi (son of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa) was thrashed brutally in police detention cell of court complex by ASI Richard Maseeh with metal chains and rifle butts on April 13. He was to appear before court under sections 107/151 of Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr. P.C).
