5 crucial questions posed by the Tribune in 1919:
1. In its edition dated December 7, 1919, The Tribune asked five key questions based on Brigadier General Reginald Dyer’s deposition before the Hunter Committee:
2. Was the General justified in taking no step between 12:30 pm, when he first heard that a meeting was going to take place, and 4:30 pm, when the meeting did take place, to prevent the crowd from assembling?
3. Was he justified in opening fire without warning and without giving an opportunity to the gathering to disperse?
4. Was he justified in not stopping the firing when he found that with the very opening of fire the crowd had begun to disperse?
5. Was it necessary for him to continue, and was he justified in continuing to fire until ammunition had run short and about 500 men had been killed and at least thrice as many men had been wounded?
6. Was he justified in leaving the wounded to their fate, and taking no step to render first aid to them?
7. The newspaper made it clear that “to all properly constituted minds, these questions admit of but one answer” — an unequivocal ‘no’ — and went on to demonstrate how unconvincing were the General’s answers. A century later, Britain continues to maintain silence on The Tribune’s probing posers.

Did the responsible for the crimes, especially Government machinery actively participate and initiate the crimes in open connivance with the politicians and their gangsters-members of criminal gangs; members of an organized gangs of criminals, especially a racketeers, who are profited; the excess of income over expenditure, especially in business from illegal activities such as bribery, fraud, or intimidation, indict-prosecute adequately, meaningfully and effectively ever so far in India?

ਟਿੱਪਣੀ :- ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਪੜ੍ਹ-ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਯਾਦ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਸਲੀ ਲਫਜ਼ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੁੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਹੋ ਯਾ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੋ,
ਜੁਦਾ ਹੋ ਦੀਂ ਸਿਆਸ ਸੇ ਤੋ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ ਚੰਗੇਜ਼ੀ।
ਇਸ ਵਿਚਲਾ ‘ਦੀਂ’ ਕਿਸੇ ਖਾਸ ਧਰਮ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ-ਕਾਂਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਬਲਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ‘ਇੰਸਾਨੀਅਤ’। ਪਰ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਇੰਸਾਨੀਅਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ‘ਹਉਮੈ’ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵੀ ਸੇਧ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਖਤਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੋ ਬਹੈ ਜਿ ਤਖਤੈ ਲਾਇਕ ਹੋਈ ॥
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਸਚੁ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੇਈ ॥ 1088 ਅਤੇ,
ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹੈ ਤਖਤੈ ਕੀ ਲਾਇਕ ॥
ਪੰਚ ਸਮਾਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਕ ॥
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਹੋਸੀ ਸਹਸਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥੧੪॥ 1039 ਅਤੇ,
ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹੈ ਅਦਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਭੇਦੁ ਭਉ ਜਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥ 1022
