FAIRFIELD, California, USA (February 28, 2015)— Clients of prostitutes, known as “Johns” were hauled away by the Fairfield Police Department over the weekend as part of a sting to prevent prostitution related activities. Notably, Fairfield Gurdwara ragi (priest) Harpal Singh was also arrested.
The Vacaville, Suisun City, and Fairfield Police Departments all took part in the operation which took place over the weekend on February 20th and 21st at various locations in Fairfield.
The suspects involved in the prostitution related activities are commonly associated to various other crimes including substance violations, weapons offenses, Pimping, robbery, assaults, and property related crimes.

“Often times, women who are involved in prostitution, are victimized by these Johns.” “Johns” are also often times conducting prostitution related activities with juvenile females. These criminal activities are directly related to Human Trafficking,” said the Fairfield Police Department officials.
Punjabi suspects Harpal Singh, a 38 year old Fairfield resident and Rupinder Samra, a 43 year old Woodland resident were booked into Solano County Jail for Prostitution or Prostitution Loitering.
Sangat from the Fairfield area were shocked and shared articles and information on social media. Many expressed their disappointment with the ragi.
