Washington, March 14 (Punjab Mail USA) The march is held annually to commemorate the “Khalsa Sirjana Divas” (Vaisakhi) and to promote Sikh religion, Sikh philosophy, Sikh identity and Sikh sovereignty. This year we are also networking with Sikhs from all over the world to celebrate April 14th as “World Sikh Day”.   The event will start at 1:00PM with a march from the Constitution Avenue (across Viet Nam Memorial) to the Capitol Hill. Several thousand Sikhs from 85+ US Gurdwaras and US Congressional leaders are expected to attend.
The parade will reach US Capitol grounds around 2:30PM. The event will end with a rally at the US Capitol with Sikh religious hymns and speeches by the invited guests. The entire event will finish around 5PM.
