ਅੱਜ ਜਦੋਂ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਟੌਹੜਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਸਿੱਖ ਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਕਿ “ਉਹ ਨਾ ਅਖੌਤੀ ਬਾਬਿਆਂ,ਸੰਤਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਧਦੀ ਨਸਲ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ”। ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਰ ਪੱਥਰ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਟੌਹੜਾ ਦੀ ਆਂਤਰਿਕ ਆਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਲਈ ਮੋਹਰਾ ਬਣਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।

In view of the above, the Sikh Vichar Manch feels that without the photographs of the Sikh Warriors-Martyrs, the building memorial for martyrs of Operation Blue Star (The Indian Army Attack on Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and Sri Durbar Sahib ….) began at Golden Temple is like an half hearted approach at the instance of the Indian Agencies matter or actively involved in the issue, guiding ‘the Five Sikh high priests’ through SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar.
As SGPC has sought suggestions from Sikh masses to shape the memorial, the suggestion of the Sikh Vichar Manch may kindly be given top priority that there must be photographs in the memorial of the Sikh Warriors-Martyrs.
