Fwd: Nanak Shahi Eternal 1-Page Calendar
Ajit Singh <ajit@ajitsingh.ca>
to president, president, bcc: me
A Gursikh in US was wondering why, when & whereabouts the Nanakshahi Calendar that was approved and adopted by SGPC and its Jathedars in 2003, and why that was rejected after seven years in force only to be fraudulently introduced Bikrami Calendar in 2010 !!! I sent that Gursikh my two letters to SGPC in 2015 (1st May & 1st Nov.) and pictures of the Committee deliberations describing the historical, and GURBANI FACTS about the Nanakshahi Calendar from the beginnings, when The Sikh Leaders at Darbar Sahib in Amritsar FAILED to simple requests about Gurpurab dates in the following year because that were needed for the publication of Multicultural School Calendars by the School Boards across Canada. The Sikhs in Canada managed to respond to those requests with the help of GURSIKH Calendar Science Experts, without any positive help from SGPC year after year. Then began the process of discussions, deliberations under a Committee of Gursikh Experts under the auspices of SGPC that finally came to fruition in 2003.
The Gursikh whom US to who was only known to me only for the past ten days, made consultations with more Gursikh Experts on Sikh History and Gurbani Teachings, to come up with a comprehensive ONE PAGE COMPREHENSIVE, ETERNAL NANAKSHAHI CALENDAR for Young Sikh generations living all over the world. This efforts can be further improved by placing the whole Nanakshahi Calendar Both in PUNJABI and ENGLISH languages. It is requested and hoped that All Sikh all over the World will be able to adopt this Eternal Calendar to unify the Sikh Nation.
We Sikhs must keep in mind that there were distortions in Sikh History by the vested interests that lead to many confusions that exist today. Quite often we Compare Sikh Religion with other Religions and brag about the fact that Sikh Scriptures were written under the direct supervision of Sikh Gurus that ours is the latest religion believing in the UNITY OF THE SUPREME BEING WHO IS MANIFESTED IN ALL AND INFINITE BEINGS.
However, contrary to that many of us do not even know the exact date of Parkash of Guru Nanak - The founder of Sikh Religion , whether it was Waisakh or Kataik ". Furthermore, questioning the Sikh Scriptures itself whether the least page was uttered by Guru Sahib or is some PLAGIARIZED version or composition of some other author ? And some vested interests at the Rehat Maryada Committee persuaded to dictate, that "Raagmala" will be published in Sacred Sikh Scriptures and, its up to individuals, whether to recite it or not. This decision appears to be simply RIDICULOUS. Whether a composition is part of Gurbani or Not should not be a difficult matter to determine by Gursikhs,if the vested interests would have been removed from the Sikh Code of Conduct Committee, who do not even abide by approved Sikh Rehat Maryada.
