CHANDIGARH—Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh on September 1, the AAP legislator from Dakha S. Harvinder Singh Phoolka has asked the Punjab government to indict Parkash Badal, Sumedh Saini and Gurmeet Ram Rahim till September 15. He has said that if the Punjab government doesn’t take action by September 15, the five Cabinet ministers, namely Manpreet Badal Navjot Sidhu, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Tript Rajinder Bajwa and Charanjit Channi should resign and he will also resign in this concern.

“If the Punjab government doesn’t take any action against Badal and Sumedh Saini by September 15 and also these five ministers don’t resign, then it will become clear that these ministers, who made long, emotive speeches in the Punjab assembly on August 28, don’t care about the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji” he added.
Accusing the Congress of playing politics on sacrilege issue, H.S. Phoolka made it clear that if the Punjab government doesn’t take any action September 15 then he will resign adhering to the voice of his conscience. “Neither had I talked about it to the party’s high command nor do I feel any need” he asserted.
Meanwhile, the local bodies minister of Punjab Navjot Sidhu has reacted to Phoolka’s statement by saying that he couldn’t even think of resigning as the Punjab masses have chosen him to serve them.
