01 Jan 2019 05:02 AM PSTLAHORE, Punjab—Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, the Information and Broadcasting Minister of Pakistan, has announced to convert the building of Gurdwara Bhai Karam Singh into a museum in Jehlum (Pakistan).
The Pakistani Federal Minister has made this announcement after proposal of providing funds for the reconstruction of the Gurdwara building by the Pakistani Sikhs.
Sikh24 has learnt that the Pakistan government has issued instructions to the district administration of Jehlum in this concern. Beside it, the executives of Islamabad based “Lok Virsa” have also been ordered to initiate work on this project.
Situated on the Nehar road in Jehlum, the building of Gurdwara Bhai Karam Singh faced major damage multiple times due to floods in 1938, 1992 and 2010. In 2011, the Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan had started using the building of this Gurdwara Sahib as its office.
