21 Feb 2019 08:04 AM PSTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—With the arrest of IG Paramraj Umranangal in the Behbal Klan and Kotkapura firing cases, the fear of justice has started appearing on the face of Akali leaders, especially the former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and the former Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal. The duo father-son are fearing of the punishment for the sins that they committed by defending the sacrilege culprits and ordering the unprovoked firing on the protesting Sikhs.
On February 21, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh indicated in the Punjab assembly that the investigation of sacrilege and firing cases could go right up to the top.
In a special press conference held at Chandigarh today, the former Punjab CM and SAD patron Parkash Badal claimed that he is being targeted by the Congress leaders and they are using sacrilege cases to achieve their target of cornering me. He further said that he dedicated his whole life for the well-being of the state and never ever bowed before the political repression.
Terming the investigation of sacrilege cases as a political drama by the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, Parkash Singh said that he is ready to face arrest and he has even informed the Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta about it. “I don’t want to waste time and resources of Punjab, so I have offered myself for arrest. Since they have decided to do so, I am here in Chandigarh for it. I will be happy if my last days are spent in Amarinder’s jail,” he added.
