Nitish Kumar faces vote of confidence tomorrow, here are his numbers

Tomorrow, he will face a trust vote in the state legislature. His party, the Janata Dal United or JD(U), is four votes short of a majority. He will reportedly bridge the gap with the support of independents (there are six).

But the CPI and the Congress are likely to abstain. So Mr Kumar should be able to manage 122 votes, which is what he needs to stay in power.
Mr Kumar said that his party cannot continue to collaborate with the BJP now that it has placed Narendra Modi in charge of its election campaign. The JD(U), like other detractors of the Gujarat Chief Minister, alleges that he did not do enough to protect hundreds of Muslims from being killed in his state during the 2002 riots. At the time, Mr Modi was serving his first term as chief minister. In December, he was re-elected for a fourth term.
