Jharkhand Naxal attack very shocking: Subodh Kant Sahay

Ranchi (Jharkhand), July 2 (ANI): Expressing shock over the Maoist attack on policemen in Jharkhand, former Union Minister and Ranchi MP Subodh Kant Sahay on Tuesday said the question that arises now is how the state government will react and take charge of the situation.
"The incident is very shocking. We were there in Pakur to attend a function on the 30th, things were okay. This is pretty clear that what happened in Chhattisgarh is now spreading and entering Jharkhand. Now the question would be as to how does the state government react and take charge of the situation," said Sahay.
The incident took place near the forests of Amrapa, nearly 400 km from capital Ranchi.
The extremists exploded bombs and opened fire on the police vehicles.
Two other policemen who were injured have been admitted to hospital, Dumka Deputy Commissioner Harsh Mangala said.
The senior officer had been targeted by extremists in the past due to his tough stand against the Maoists in Pakur, which has their strong presence. (ANI)
