Racism and hatred toward communities have existed for a long time in various parts of the world. Although humanity has long battled against these occurrences, the cost is too great. Jasmer Singh passed away a few months ago as a result of a hate crime that occurred in Richmond Hill, New York. This hate crime made us realize that, with the right assistance, Jasmer Singh might have been saved. This inspired us to develop the Bystander Intervention Training program.
When someone is harming another person, we are often reluctant to speak up. But is this really the best course of action? In this training program, you will learn how to intervene in a way that has the potential to save someone's life.
In partnership with the Queens Borough President, Donovan Richards Jr., and the NYC Commission on Human Rights, we have embarked on the journey to reduce hate crimes. And if not eradicate it completely, maybe provide help when needed, through YOU.
