 Sardar  Bharpuur Singh Ji and Sardar Gurmit Singh Ji has described the original Name Darbar Sahib, Nishan Sahib very truthfully,as it should be known by all of us specially the Sikh masses. I remember, 28 years ago World Sikh Organization writing letters to all the Gurdwara Sahibs all over the world in which it was explained that Temple or Mandir has a connotation of statue worship which is strictly forbidden by Guru Sahibs in Gurbani Teachings. It was also explained that Sikh Kakars are Sikh Articles of Faith and not symbols. And also write Amrit as Amrit nor baptism, as baptism is a catholic term that has very different meaning than the meaning of Amrit which is Gurbani or Sabd Guru.It was also requested that all Gurwaras must list their telephone numbers in local directories under Gurdwara Sahib followed by the name of the Society in brackets, so as to ensure that all Gurdawas in a city are listed in one place in the directory ans easier for visitors to find. If Sikhs can not adopt standard and true terminology, they are working against the Khalsa Panth. That is why I tell the Gurdwara managements that You are either with the Khala Panth by adopting common terminology or you are against the Panth.
