Retail investors who bought Glenmark struggle for returns
On May 26, 2020, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals announced that it would begin clinical trials in India to test a combination of two anti-viral drugs for Covid-19. About a month later, on June 22, the stock rose 40% on over-optimistic retail participation. But soon, the open interest started to fall faster than the stock price, and the stock may ultimately leave a bitter aftertaste for investors.

Rural BPOs have leveraged their favourable economics to grab small slices of the outsourcing business. Beating the odds, they have gradually consolidated their position.
