Pakistan completed all the arrangements for Indian pilgrims to access Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur. After doubtlessly-having no doubts or suspicions and cleared by Pakistan as to how as said, ‘Pakistan completed all the arrangements for Indian pilgrims to access Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur’. Informaton Minister of Pakistan, Fawad Chauhdry said.
ISLAMABAD: Despite New Dehli’s refusal to hold talks between the foreign ministers, Pakistan is still ready to open the border for Indian pilgrims to access Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Informaton Minister Fawad Chauhdry said in an interview with Hindustan Times.
“We have completed all the arrangements. This is an issue of the ordinary people, Sikhs and other Indian pilgrims, and an issue of faith. They shouldn’t suffer and we want to formalise the informal proposal the Pakistan Army chief made to (Punjab state minister Navjot) Sidhu,” Informaton Minister of Pakistan, Fawad Chauhdry said.
Informaton Minister of Pakistan, Fawad Chauhdry said India should take advantage of the current consensus between Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership on foreign policy issues. “The government and military are very close and there have been few occasions when their relations have been as exemplary as now,” he said. “It was a hug between Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and former Indian cricketer and Congress member, Minister Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu, during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s oath taking ceremony in Islamabad, which led to Pakistan deciding to open the Kartarpur border — a move that would allow Sikh pilgrims to have a visa-free entry into Pakistan and visit the Darbar Sahib Gurdwara.
The Gurdwara is located at the edge of River Ravi near the Narowal district, deep inside Pakistan’s Punjab province, and holds massive importance for the Sikh community — Guru Nanak ended his missionary travel at this very place. According to historical accounts, this was the place where Guru Nanak brought, assembled and settled the Sikh community.
It was also this very spot where Guru Nanak died on the September 22, 1539.
Pakistan’s federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry claimed that Pakistan is maintaining its offer to open Kartarpur border.
The warmth and regard that Najot Singh Sidhu received from Pakistan can be well established by his own statement, “I received lots of love and respect in Pakistan. I had also brought a message of love and friendship for India — but the people here reciprocated with compound interest,” he said.
Uttar Pradesh: Bajrang Dal Agra man has put up a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who slashes Navjot Singh Sidhu’s head and bring it to him”.
“Jo in gaddaron ka gala kaat kar layega, usko … yeh paanch lakh rupaye ka cheque dega! (Whoever beheads traitors like him … will give them this cheque worth Rs five lakh!),
” …. The message was crystal clear: You can’t hug Pakistanis without hurting Hindus.
On the other hand, there is Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who, though taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), dubbed Sidhu’s actions as “heights of shamelessness”…, a lawyer based in Bihar, has slapped a sedition case against Sidhu”. .Daily O
Navjot Singh Sidhu's hug for Pakistan army chief has been censured not only by the BJP but also by his boss, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. A former captain in the Indian Army, Amarinder Singh made it clear that he deeply disapproved such a display of affection towards the chief of Pakistan army”.
"If someone (Pak Army Chief General Bajwa) comes to me and says that we belong to the same culture and we will open Kartarpur border on Guru Nanak 550th Prakash Parv, what else I could do?" said the Punjab minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu.
He went on to say that Pakistan wanted peace - statements, which New Delhi contends, fly in the face of its intelligence agency ISI's support to terrorists. The General then followed it up with the promise to open the corridor to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur. "It was a dream come true," Mr Sidhu had told NDTV.
The BJP had launched a scathing attack on Mr Sidhu even before he reached India.
"Mr Sidhu is not an ordinary man but a minister in the Punjab government. And every Indian has taken this issue very seriously," BJP's Sambit Patra had said, questioning whether Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will suspend him”. NDTV
“How did things come to such a pass?
Three things must be noted at the outset.
First, this is a failure of the ruling party to redeem its 2014 electoral pledge to make India ‘secure’.
Second, the breakdown in India’s relations with Pakistan is a manifestation of the spectacular failure of the Modi government’s neighbourhood policies in general.
Third, looking ahead, such a somber legacy becomes a serious handicap for Indian diplomacy.
As someone who has only served in the Iran-Pakistan-Afghanistan Division of the MEA in all my headquarters postings during the three decades in the Foreign Service, and having devoted to that work almost a third of my entire professional career, I must say with sadness that never before in the entire chronicle of Independent India, a government is leaving behind such a barren record in engaging with Pakistan.
Can it be that not engaging Pakistan was actually the Modi government’s policy”? Former Ambassador. MK Bhadrakumar said.

The Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur is located at the edge of River Ravi near the Narowal district, deep inside Pakistan’s Punjab province: “Will it be possible the exchange of land between Pakistan and India in lieu of the corridor including Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur as ‘The Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur is located at the edge of River Ravi near the Narowal district, deep inside Pakistan’s Punjab province’ and when Guru Nanak followers are living worldwide irrespective their religions? What could be said about such a demand?
Is such a demand not continuation of ‘The Message From Pakistan of Love, Friendship and Peace for Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Countrymen Is Being Disowned By Unfriendly To Sikhs Within India or What and Why”?
