PATNA: At least eight live bombs were recovered from a bogie of a passenger train on Monday in Kishanganj district, Bihar, the New Indian Express reports.
Government Railway Police (GRP) officer Anil Kumar Singh was quoted by The New Indian Express as saying, "Police have recovered eight live bombs from a bogie of a passenger train" in Kishanganj district."
The GRP will investigate into the incident and also a case was lodged though no arrests were made yet.
"No arrest has been made in this connection but we strongly suspect that the bombs were on way to deliver to some people," Singh added.
Last week, at least four people were killed when nine of the 12 coaches of the Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express derailed in Bihar. A possibility of sabotage was ruled out by the Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. (With inputs from agencies)
