CHICAGO, IL, USA (August 25, 2015)—Last rites of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola were performed in Moline, Illinois, on August 22 in the presence of Sikh leaders from all over North America.  A large gathering was noticed in the small city when the Sikh Sangat started gathering at the funeral home early during the day.  Sukhmani Sahib path was read by local Gurdwara sevadars, after which daughters of Bhai Bhola, Geena Kaur Sidhu and Harman Kaur Sidhu turned the scene emotional by reciting Gurbani Shabads ‘Haal Mureedan da Kehna’ and ‘Neenoh Neer Bahe Tan Kheena”.  Bhai Satwinder Singh’s son Gurman Singh accompanied his sisters on tabla.

After the kirtan, Geena and Harman Kaur gave brief speeches and sangat had the last glimpse of Bhai Satwinder Singh.  After the services at the funeral home, Sikh leaders paid homage to the Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola at the Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Silvis.  A number of renowned leaders shared the stage and spoke about Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola’s legendary work as a leader of the All India Sikh Students Federation.
President of Canada (East) unit of Shirmani Akali Dal Amritsar S. Sukhminder Singh Hansra announced a reward of $25000 for anyone who will provide the clue about murder of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola.  All speakers highly appreciated Bhai Bhola’s personality and his services to Sikh Panth during his whole life.
Dr. Amarjit Singh Washington, S. Sarabjit Singh New York (President, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar), Bhai Narinder Singh, Bhai Raminderjit Singh, Bhai Maheshinder Singh Gulabgarh, S. Sukhminder Singh Hansa, Bhai Balbir Singh, S. Bhajan Singh Bhinder and others were the prominent among the gathering on this occasion.  Sevadars of historical USA Gurdwara in Stockton also presented a robe of honor to Bhai Satwinder Singh.
